So everyone keeps asking my what happened to Eddie. Well heres the story. It’s like a movie really. It was August 12th 2014, a very rainy Tuesday evening. It was the start of monsoon season in Arizona and raining so hard that it started leaking in our kitchen. Soon our power went out so Eddie and I took a quick trip to our local CVS to grab some ice and coolers to save our groceries. We drive up to CVS, get out of the car, and then out of no where, a bunch of guys with bulletproof vests and guns swarmed Eddie grabbed him. I thought we were being kidnapped. But then they through handcuffs on him and put him in a white van. It all happened so suddenly and was over in less than a minute. They were in all undercover cars and told me that they had been following us for a while. Creepy. The officer told me Eddie needs to adjust his immigration status and gave me a phone number to call if I want to find out more.
In tears I immediately went home and called lawyers until one finally answered at 7:30pm. The lawyer understood my situation and was nice enough to meet me the same night. I immediately started work on the case. I was in shock and silent most of the time. You see Eddie came to America as a refugee when he was 6 years old in October of 1996. He thought that he was normal, like any US resident and didn’t think anything of his special immigration status. When he was 18 after a wild night of partying with his high school friends they decided it would be fun to do a beer run from their local gas station. Eddie and his friend each tried to take a 30 pack of beer from the convenience store when they were caught and arrested. Eddie was charged with a shoplifting charge, a misdemeanor at age 18. He did a day in jail, paid some fines and thought nothing of it. Little did he know that would come back to haunt him later in life. Due to Eddie’s refugee status he is a guest in the US and isn’t allowed to commit ANY crimes.
The Immigration and Custom Enforcement office noticed Eddies charge and decided to put him into removal proceedings. Eddie could have chosen to stay and get his green card but he would have to be in an immigration jail the whole time for up to 12 months until everything is complete. So we decided to apply for Voluntary Departure. Eddie has his court hearing soon and we will find out if he will be granted his departure, that way even though we have to leave the country at least he can still come back in a year or so. The other alternative is he could be deported.
We’re hoping he gets his departure and then we can stay in Europe for up to a year anyway. We can’t wait to experience the European lifestyle and meet all the awesome new European girls! Eddie and I talk daily, sometimes up to 5 times a day lol. I also visit him every visitation day. Our visits are awesome. They let us kiss and hold hands. We have cute little jail pizza dates!(:
Eddie and I will be re-united in Europe within the next 61 days from now! It could be sooner but 61 days is our maximum time. Of course we’re bringing our pets Chewy, Fiona, and Larry overseas with us, they’re our kids lol. We will still continue to cam and bring you guys awesome new girls constantly!
It’s definitely hard doing Eddie’s job and mine at the same time. Running a website is really hard, a lot harder then Eddie made it seem lol. Thank you all so much for being patient with me, I know updates have been slower since Eddie’s been gone. I’ll keep things fresh the best I can and when Eddie returns things will be beyond amazing again(:
Words can not describe how much I miss my soulmate. I love him so much, life is not the same without him. I feel like a part of me is gone, but I try to avoid being sad. 61 more days until we’re reunited and onto the next chapter in our lives together(:
You guys are the best! Thank you for sticking with me through the most difficult time of my life(: I appreciate you so much and am very thankful that I have such awesome fans to make me smile when I’m feeling down!(:
